B.N. (Nick) Garcia
PAST PRESIDENT
Nick was born in Humboldt, Kansas, and proudly served with the US Marine Corps in World War II, and then in the Korean War. A graduate of Rockhurst College in Kansas City, Missouri, Nick moved to Lincoln in 1962, where he worked as an estimator with Beall Construction for 18 years before beginning his role as President of Garcia-Chicoine Enterprises, Inc. in 1980. Nick worked for 20 years as President before his retirement in 2000. Nick served on the AGC Board of Directors for the years of 1986 & 1987.
With deepest respect and gratitude, we honor Nick Garcia upon his passing.

John C. Chicoine
PRESIDENT
Born in Lincoln, Nebraska, John graduated in 1973 from the University of Nebraska, before joining Concrete Industries as a salesman from 1974-1980. In 1980 he partnered with Nick Garcia in forming Garcia-Chicoine Enterprises, Inc., and held the role of Vice President up to Nick’s retirement in 2000 at which time, John took over as President. An active participant in the Association of General Contractors, John served on the Board in 1989 before holding office multiple years in the 1990’s, including Association President in 1996, and continued his work as an active board member though 2007. John is currently partially retired and has been residing in Florida since 2007, while still playing an active role in the activities of the company.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_column_text]
Tyler J. Chicoine
VICE PRESIDENT
Born in Lincoln, Nebraska, Tyler attended the University of Nebraska from 1990-1994. He was employed with Union Bank and Trust Company from 1991-2000 as a Trust Investment Officer, before joining Garcia-Chicoine Enterprises, Inc. in June 2000. An active participant in the Association of General Contractors, he began serving as a member of the Board of Directors in 2007, and held the position of Association President in 2011. Ray Schacht
MANAGER – MIDWEST MACHINERY
Ray was born in Nebraska City, and a longtime resident of Cook, Nebraska. He attended college in Omaha before moving to Lincoln in 1967. A member of the Nebraska National Guard for 6 years, he joined Lincoln Manufacturing in 1967, as a Steel Fabrication Foreman for 29 years, and as manager from 1997-1999. When the Guardrail Division of Lincoln Manufacturing was acquired by Midwest Machinery and Supply, Inc. in 1999, Ray transitioned with the company and continues to serve as Manager of Midwest Machinery and Supply, Inc.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″ el_class=”ourteam”][vc_column_text]
Joe Lovitt
PROJECT MANAGER / SAFETY COMPLIANCE MANAGER
Born in Lexington, Nebraska, Joe joined the United States Marine Corps in 1995 and served until 1998 stationed at Camp Pendelton, California. Upon his discharge from the Marines in 1998, Joe joined Garcia-Chicoine Enterprises Inc./Midwest Machinery Supply Co., Inc. as a general laborer. Joe has since worked his way up and currently serves as Project Manager/Safety Compliance Manager. Jenni Schweitzer
Born in Hastings, Nebraska, Jenni grew up in Milford, and now resides in Malcolm. A graduate of Bellevue University, Jenni started in the industry in 1995 at Dobson Brothers Construction Company as a Project Management Assistant/Contract Administrator. In 2011 she left construction industry briefly to join Concentra Medical Centers as the Director of Operations, before joining Garcia-Chicoine Enterprises, Inc. in the fall of 2012.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
